Celebrating the pinnacle of croissant craftsmanship
After three highly successful years championing the very best of British baking, Best Croissant UK returns for its 4th edition — once again setting the benchmark for excellence in laminated pastry.
From celebrated independent bakeries to world‑renowned hotels, the competition shines a spotlight on those who demonstrate outstanding craftsmanship, technical precision and an uncompromising commitment to quality. This is where passion, skill and tradition meet butter, flour and fire.
The London – South Region Semi-Final
For the second consecutive year, we are proud to host the London Semi-Final at TheTasteLab — a space dedicated to innovation, expertise and the future of professional baking.
At this crucial stage of the competition, 50 selected participants will present their freshly baked croissants to a panel of expert judges. Each entry will be rigorously assessed on appearance, lamination, flavour, texture and overall execution.
Only the very best will progress.
From this London semi-final, just 12 finalists will earn their place in the Grand Final, together with the 8 finalists from the North region, held at the iconic The Savoy on 16 October 2026.

This competition is more than an award — it is a celebration of the skill, discipline and artistry behind one of the world’s most demanding pastries. Reaching the final places bakeries among the elite of the UK baking scene.
